Dr. Garner leads Eli Lilly and Company’s Global Regulatory Affairs for human drugs, medical devices, and global manufacturing. Carl also heads Lilly’s Regenerative Medicines business overseeing gene therapy development and commercialization focusing on sensory diseases. Since joining Lilly in 1997, Carl has served across most parts of the drug discovery and development enterprise contributing to the launches of 24 innovative medicines with indications across 68 different diseases. He remains active in advancing healthcare policy through leadership roles and engagements with PhRMA, BIO, NIH, Auburn University, the Alabama Longevity Task Force, Hudson Alpha Institute, and the Poarch Creek Indians.
